Every September (National Food Safety Education Month),
we challenge our constituents, their friends and families,
and our partners and donors to take 3,000 steps a day to
honor the 3,000 lives lost each year to foodborne illness in the U.S.
Through collaboration with consumers, academic partners, the food industry, and government entities, STOP focuses on the importance of food safety, advocates for impactful policy changes, drives culture shift within the food industry to prioritize food safety as a critical public health concern and provides invaluable support to families and individuals impacted by food poisoning.
During our month-long event we challenge our constituents, their friends and families, and our partners and donors to take 3,000 steps each day - every day - during the month of September to honor the 3,000 lives lost each year to foodborne illness in the U.S.
