Protecting consumers by building strong food safety cultures

food safety culture webinar series

Co-hosted by the FDA and the Alliance

2025 "Series Two"

In 2025, the Alliance to Stop Foodborne Illness and the U.S. FDA are once again teaming up to present an engaging seven-part webinar series on food safety culture.

Hear from FDA and industry leaders who will dive deep into critical aspects of food safety culture, building from basic assumptions which underpin an organization’s food safety work to the messages and programs which support an organization’s food safety culture.

Participants will walk away with actionable strategies to improve their company’s food safety culture, as well as approaches to address common misconceptions that can impact food safety behavior in day-to-day operations.

The New Era of Smarter Food Safety blueprint states that dramatic improvements in reducing the burden of foodborne illness cannot be made without doing more to influence the beliefs, attitudes, and, most importantly, the behaviors of people and the actions of organizations.

The webinar series features experts from the public and private sector discussing the value of fostering, supporting, and strengthening food safety cultures to help ensure the safe production of food, and the role of science-based metrics in assessing their effectiveness.

The program has valuable information for those well-versed on food safety culture and those just learning about this important subject.

The Alliance to Stop Foodborne Illness and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration are collaborating on this multi-part webinar series.

Together, with guests from across the food world, we are exploring the many facets of food safety culture, one of the core elements in FDA’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety initiative.

Thank you!
