Recalled: Gold Medal Unbleached Flour in 5 Lb bag (US/Nationwide); Satur Farms brand Baby Spinach and Mesclun (US/New York, Florida); Stino da Napoli brand Meat Products/Meat Sauces (US/Ohio)

Reason for Recall: Salmonella

Company: Satur Farms of Cutchogue, NY
Product: Baby spinach and mesclun

Details: Satur Farms officials are asking their customers to call Paulette Satur at 631-734-4219 for instructions regarding returning or destroying any remaining inventories of the recalled products.

The retail products for direct sale to consumers are packed in plastic clamshell containers under the Satur Farms brand name weighing 5 ounces, 10 ounces, and 16 ounces. 

The food service products are packed in sealed poly bags in the following sizes: 2-1/2 lbs, 3#, 4#, 4 x 2.5#, 4 x 3#

Products subject to the recall have the following lot numbers:

    • Spinach Lot #18494 
    • Spinach Lot #18513 
    • Mesclun Lot #18520

Reason for Recall: Salmonella

Company: General Mills Inc.
Product: 5-pound bags of its Gold Medal brand unbleached flour

Details: Consumers may contact General Mills consumer relations at 800-230-8103 or visit GeneralMills.com/Flour for more information.
To determine whether they have the recalled flour, consumers and retailers should look for the following label information:

Package UPC 000-16000-19610-0
Recalled Better if Used by Date 20APR2020KC

As of the posting of the recall notice, the company had not received any direct consumer reports of confirmed illnesses associated with the recalled flour.

“This recall does not involve any other flour products, and we are continuing to educate consumers that flour is not a ‘ready-to-eat’ ingredient. Anything you make with flour must be cooked or baked before eating,” the General Mills executive Jim Murphy said.

Reason for Recall: Produced, packed, and distributed without the benefit of federal inspection

Company: Stino Da Napoli in Rocky River, OH
Product: Ready-to-eat meat products and meat sauce items

Details: Items were produced from Nov. 30, 2017, through Dec. 20, 2018. The recall notice did not include any information about best-by or sell-by dates on the product.

Consumers can use the following label information to determine whether they have the recalled products in their homes:

24-oz. (1.5 lbs.) jarred pasta sauce containing “Stino Da Napoli Gourmet Pasta Sauce with Bacon Fumo Del Vesuvio” with lot code 181284000303.
1.3-lb. packages containing “Stino’s GOURMET ITALIAN FOODS MEATBALLS” with lot code 181284000167.
1.2-lb. packages containing “Stino’s GOURMET ITALIAN FOODS MEAT LASAGNA” with lot code 181284000150.
The sauce products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 45779” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The meatball and lasagna products do not include the USDA mark of inspection.
